Gentlemen, it’s time to talk about getting a skincare routine. Now, we understand that many guys think that splashing their face with a bit of water and soap bar is a routine for a king. But, if it’s a healthy skin you’re after then, that’s just not going to work. To show you our commitment toward helping you highlighting your handsomeness, below are some tips and tricks to help improve your daily skin care routine.
Keep on Washing
Starting with the very basic yet essential step, we simply cannot express how important washing your face is. For us guys, washing our faces properly can often be really underestimated but with all the environmental aggressors that comes into contact with our skin every day it’s something that shouldn’t be skipped. Clean skin the key in regards to other skin concerns. Breakouts, irritations, and dull looking skin can all be dramatically improved by maintaining clean skin by trying THE FOAM.
To SCUB or Not to SCRUB… That Is the Question
Exfoliation/ Scrub mostly comes down to personal preference and skin type. Those that are prone to dry skin will benefit from exfoliating their skin every now and then. The trick to exfoliation is to not overdo it. These products contain abrasive grains that, when rubbed into the skin, remove dead skin cells. It leaves the skin feeling soft and smooth, enhancing your complexion. By exfoliating too much, however, skin can become irritated, and you may experience some redness. If you do have dry skin that is also sensitive, our SCRUB is very gentle. Due to it being abrasive on the skin, it is recommended to use an exfoliant one to two times a week.
If you ask any dermatologist, they will tell hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. Beside the daily moisturizer you can boost your skin hydration by using once or twice a week a hydration mask which you keep on for 10-15 minutes after using a scrub/ exfoliation.
Throughout our daily routines, our skin can lose a lot of moisture. This depends on many factors such as the climate, genetics, and a person's overall health. While many of us use moisturizer, it is still surprisingly forgotten about quite often. One of the lesser-known benefits of using moisturizer is that it acts as a layer of protection for your skin. Not only does having dry skin make you look older, but it can also be a culprit of acne and breakouts. The reason behind this is that acne is typically caused by blocked pores and along with bacteria, dead skin cells can also clog these areas. Choose products with premium active ingredients that will pay off, thank us later.
What about your eyes?
Your undereye need care as well if you suffer from dark circles, puffiness, or stubborn wrinkles around the eyes then a hyaluronic acid eye serum is your best friend. But like with all products you use; consistence is the key. An eye serum should be used at least twice a day.
What to Do and When to Do It
Essentially, we should wash our faces two times a day: in the morning and at night. Following that, it’s moisturizer and eye serum time—not forgetting sunscreen for daytime but be aware of the ingredients. And that, gentlemen, is pretty much it. Creating a regular skin care routine doesn’t have to be long and difficult, nor does it need to include ten thousand different products. It can be as simple as one bottle of face wash, one moisturizer and an eye serum. Of course, you are by no means limited to this simplicity, but this is what is needed to improve your skin care routine. If you want to go all out and dive into scrub and hydration masks then good for you but if you are someone with tight schedules or are always running late, then these types of products will keep your skin glowing.
Our faces are our cheeky charm generators, so it’s only right that we look after it. We men should be able to face the world with our heads held high and filled with just the right amount of confidence. It's not a matter of hiding anymore it’s a matter of improving.
